Long-Form Content Writing
As a contributing writer for Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland, I wrote articles for their newsletters and was a primary content contributor for their 2011 Annual Report. The hospital Communications Director briefed me on the assignment and provided direction. These long-form articles typically focused on an individual connected in some way to the hospital and research facility. I conducted my own research into the more technical medical and scientific aspects of the background as needed, interviewed the subjects in person or by phone, transcribed my notes, and wrote and edited each story.
